Process Paper

My history fair project is “Television: A Cultural Revolution”. I chose this topic because of two reasons. The first reason is that I personally like television and I thought anything related to it had to be fun. The second reason was that I did not know much about the history of television, so I wanted to learn more. I feel that both of these have been accomplished.

All of my research was conducted online, for lack of a better resource. I searched facts about television and did find books containing information about television. Unfortunately, I had no easy access to these books. I noted my sources and used information I found helpful. I did not have many sources, though, as reliable information is so hard to come by these days.

I chose the Web site category. I chose this because when I go to High School, I plan on being either a web site designer or a game developer. I am trying to become familiar with the components of a webpage for this reason. To create my website, I used the free website creating program called Weebly. Weebly provides multiple elements to add to your website.

My project relates to the history fair topic this year in a few ways. The first is in the revolution aspect of the topic. Television was such a technological revolution in many different areas. It increased advertising, created a new era of technology and overall changed the American lifestyle. It reformed how we think of electricity, and how much we take television for granted.
